When I enter my address I receive multiple listings not in the city and state I asked for? The search engine is set up to match keywords in the address portion. The state and city have to be exact. The reason for this is just in case somebody can't remember if their address was on a Street or Road. What will happen is it will match State and City first but then also give results of other addresses ending in Street, Road, or Avenue. For a more refined search, you may just want to type in your state and city and scroll through the results. How big of picture can I upload? The picture must be smaller than 200K. A picture at 200dpi should be smaller than 5" x 5". If your picture doesn't upload and you get an error message, try shrinking the dpi or size. I'm having trouble logging in when posting information. After you log in, you will be taken to the Thank You Page. From there you can go to Search or About House and begin using the database. The login will timeout if you stop using it for a period of time. In that case, log in again. I made a mistake on my posting, how do I fix it? If you made a typo, changes cannot be made to the entry. Just add a new entry with what you believe to be correct or what you know of that house. You can also inform the Site Administrator of the error and ask to have it deleted. The Site Administrator will assess the error before deleting entries. Does my house have to be old to be on this site? Your house can be any age, it could be brand new and you are the first owner. Every home eventually has history to it. Somebody else put the wrong information in about a house. Can this be changed? If you believe somebody made an error on a house, you can put in a new post stating what you believe to be true about a particular house. For entries that abuse the use of the site, the site administrator has the authority to delete any records. If you want to discuss the house in question, use the forum for questions or corrections as well. What if I have a question about my house and nobody has posted information on it yet? You can use our forum to post questions about your house. Within the forum give the state, city and address of your house. It is possible somebody might know of the house even though they didn't live in it and be able to share that information with you. What if there is already an entry about my house? There will potentially be many entries for one home, depending on who lived in the house and what they recall. The amount of entries on a house is not limited. What if I want to sell my house, can I post that information on your website? You can mention that your house if for sale on the forum. There will be a thread on homes for sale in the future.
