A lot! And at
the time, we thought that the change
was "pretty" - however, now that I look back, it seems so dated and I
would only hope that the new owners have changed it! My mom put pink
and blue striped wallpaper up with a matching border. (Ukkk!!) The
carpet in that huge family room has been changed about a million times.
When we moved in the two back bedrooms were closed off from the rest of
the house. My dad replaced the closet in the den to a hallway and then
a door that led to the two back rooms. They are now open to the rest of
the house.

My friends and I used to lay out in the sun on the roof.... because it was flat and it was black and we got good sun up there! The only problem was that my mom would get mad because the people (usually the boys) driving down the hill could see us in our bathing suits. When I had the girls spend the night it was always easy for us to sneak out at night because my room was so far away from the master bedroom...(or so I thought)... one night we all got dressed to sneak out only to find out that my dad had installed a motion light in the backyard....busted!!! We had a lot of good times in this house. In August 1999 my (step) dad "Sam" passed away in this house after a short 4 month battle with Cancer. He passed away in the living room peacefully sitting in his chair. We moved to Georgia shortly after that. I have never had any indication that the house was "haunted" by him or anyone else, but I did feel his spirit in the house after he passed. |
