What kind of changes did you or your family make to the house?	so far we my Husband and I have taken out a hallway wall completely remodeled the kitchen,bathrooms put up beaded board paneling throughout main floor, redid closets put in pocket doors all new plumbing and electrical work new hot water on demand tank, bulit a 24by 12ft storage barn painted,stripped wallpaper and hung wallpaper on the ceilings paintable wallpaper. had the original hardwood floors done put new allure vinyl floors in kitchen and bathrooms that look like hardwood. still stripping the staircase

Original owner: Josiah Welsh, born in 1835, built the house in 1896 and lived there with wife Sarah and three children, Grace, J. Gilbert, and Laura until his death in 1918. Josiah was a prominent banker and president of the Oxford National Bank. His daughter Laura, married Dr. William T. Stewart in 1920 and they made the house their residence. Dr. Stewart died in 1944 and Laura remained in the house until her death in 1970. The house was willed to a niece and remained empty until it was purchased by David and Virginia Osborne in 1974. The Osborne's had two children, Lara and Erica. David passed away in 1990 and Ginny continued to live there until 2001 when we bought the house.

Other Information The house's color was a peach/pink that words cannot describe how awful it really was. There was a room called "the dining room" that I don't remember anyone ever eating a meal in. In "the dining room", we had a fold-out couch That had an orange floral print that, much like the house's color, words cannot describe how awful it really was. If someone was laying on this couch, it was the unspoken message that they weren't feeling well. When Mom's great-aunt was in her later years, Mom asked her to send her a signal from the after-life. The following spring, a rose bush that had never bloomed sprung to life in the back yard. From that point forward, any time mom asked me to mow the lawn, she reminded me not to "run over Aunt Glen". The first day I opened the door to my first home my 16 yr old daughter was staying there and I would join her the following day. I was having a mattress delivered so I needed her to be there but I left our shepherd with her so she would feel safe. Anyhow the dog would only enter into the tv room which was the center of the house, she would not follow my daughter up stairs and just would return to what we now call the tv room. During this time frame nothing really drastic happened except noises which some would call the house settling. Until Now... Presently now activity I have a 2 year old grandson and one day he was playing in the tv room, the downstairs goes in a complete circle. Anyhow he was tossing the ball with his Mother who was sitting in a rocking chair with her back to the Front room. She told my grandson okay that's enough playing ball and told him to settle down, he tossed the ball one more time and the ball went into the front room. It seemed like a 1/2 minute later he began laughing and the ball was tossed back into the room, right pass my daughter where she was sitting and as if someone tossed it under hand and he tried to catch it between his little hands. This continued on only it wasn't always friendly, the same room but on the opposite side of the room my grand baby was playing with his Mother and you know how you glance and see someone out the corner of your eyes but there is no one there? Well whatever he saw scared him and he climbed up onto his mothers lap and stared out into my kitchen. The hair on our arms stood so high... well I responded by going out to the kitchen and turned on another light and looking around with him and said see baby there is nothing to be afraid of and he pointed toward my front door and I picked him up and we went back to the tv room where my daughter and I feel most secure in the house. Now to conclude to this I haven't told every episode of things that have been happening, I do know my grandson is only 2 and too young to lie and when I have seen his tears and also him playing with what I would like to call an imaginary friend. I know I raised my daughter there and nothing harmful ever happened but neither of us were able to see anything either, we believe he and the dog do. My dog has bitten but only when we try to make her come into the house, if I bring her in the house from the front door weirdly enough she will come in but still she is very shaken and stays right on my heel. I feel as if there are two spirits, friendly and not so friendly the one that my grand baby says while pointing who is that, scares me and I Love Jesus and I pray for whatever is there I REBUKE it in the Name of GOD. It hasn't worked though not yet. I have been looking for history on this house and I know the lady I signed the papers from seemed as if they had a very close net family. On the back porch door they measured the children's growth and it still remains on the door, I feel it is the history of the house so I don't mess with it partly from fear. I never believed in ghost or spirits in this manner and I think sometimes there has to be still a sensible answer.

We had to cover up a cystern(big dry space under the back porch used long ago for water). New siding in 2008, stripped wallpaper in kitchen, painted drywall 2008. Repainted every room once or twice, new linoleum kitchen, porch and bathroom 2008. New tile blocks on front porch 2005. All lanscaping done between 2003-2008. Memory Buying it as newlyweds in 2002 and seeing the changes we have made to the home. Other Information A dentist from Cincinnati built the home b/f 1900.
